Your Machu Picchu Sunrise Tour experience begins with a transfer from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning. We will be driving you to Pisac. This is a notable site in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and possibly one of the unmissable sites on your trip to Peru.

The archaeological nestles on a hilltop overlooking the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is massive and just second in size to Machu Picchu. Our local expert will be giving you an immersive tour of the complex.

Once you have had your fill of the ruins, we will be driving you down the hill to the center of the village. It is home to a handicraft market. This is the best place to buy souvenirs.

After a fun-filled and informative experience, we will be driving you to Ollantaytambo, the former administrative capital of the Incas.

Ollantaytambo is referred to as the living Inca town, this is primarily because the village is well preserved. The drainage system here runs through the village and was built by the Incas. Ollantaytambo features a prominent Inca site.

To the Incas, this was the most sacred site. However, in 1531 the site turned into a battleground when the Spanish conquistadors tried to invade the complex. Our local expert will be giving you an immersive tour of the complex.

Later in the evening, we will be boarding the train from Ollantaytambo train station to Aguas Calientes. The two hours journey offers captivating sights of the highland Andean villages tucked under the snow-capped Andean peaks.

In Aguas Calientes, we will be accommodating you in an ensuite hotel room for the night. The village is popular for the natural hot springs so you can spend the evening taking a dip in the thermal waters.

Early in the morning, the crew will be handing you over a snack box. You will then be boarding a bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel. It is a 25 minutes drive.

Our tour guide will be assisting you in clearing the security control. As we enter the citadel, you will witness the clouds clearing by as the golden rays of the rising sun beaming on the Incan ruins.

After seeing the sunrise at Machu Picchu, your Machu Picchu guided tour starts with an introduction to the Inca civilization. We will then visit some of the notable sites here like the remains of the royal quarters, and ceremonial sites to name a few.

After the tour, you will have some free time to explore the citadel on your own.

Alternatively, you can hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu mountain. If you wish to hike please let us know at the time of booking the tour.

You can also hike to the Sun gate. It offers a spectacular view of the citadel. This is the point of entrance for those on the Inca Trail trek to Machu Picchu.

After the Machu Picchu Sunrise Tour, you will be taking the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. You will have some free time for lunch (not included in the tour package).

Late that evening, you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will be meeting you on arrival and will be transferring you back to your hotel in Cusco city. We will be arriving in Cusco by 09:30 PM.
