PLACES VISITED:
Cusco. The ancient Inca capital is the main destination of everyone’s trip. Cusco has a unique charm and offers an interesting mix of Andean and Spanish cultures.
Q’oricancha. The most important Temple of the Sun in the World pre Hispanic. In the Q’oricancha you will be able to compare and contrast the methods construction of the Inca culture and Catholicism. This was the center spiritual key of the Incas, which led to the four rooms of the Inca empire.
Sacsayhuamán. The Royal House of the Sun with its enigmatic 200-ton monoliths, you will listen to your guide and then explore on your own.
Quenqo. The Royal Mausoleum of the ninth Emperor Pachacuteq.
Pucapucara. A checkpoint for passers-by and pilgrims who came from Anti Suyo, from the jungle region.
Tambo Machay. A center dedicated to water and purification of the body and spirit.

Macchu Picchu. The lost city of the Incas, surrounded by impressive mountainous landscapes and with some of the most impressive Inca buildings ever built, Machu Picchu is the highlight of Peru.
Chinchero. It is located at (3772m / 12375ft) which has the remains of what was the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui, the tenth Emperor of the Inca empire.
Moray. Located on a high plateau at about (3500m/11500ft) These are the most impressive agricultural circles that are located in a large depression with many terraces. It is believed that this archaeological site (in theory) was used by the Incas as a center for agricultural experiments on different altitude levels.
The Salt Mines. The small salt mines are built on steep terraces along one side of a narrow valley that are fed by salty waters that emerge from an underground mountain stream. There are around 4,000 wells that are allowed to evaporate and are processed by hand, collected by hand without machinery, considered the best salt in the world.
The Rainbow Mountain. Also known as Vinicunca, it is impressive and can be seen on the spectacular Ausangate Trek. Ausangate Mountain itself is considered a sacred mountain (or mountain spirit) by local Peruvians, the mountain has been a place of worship and offerings, and this tradition continues today.
Day 1: Transfer from the airport in Cusco to your chosen hotel and City Tour
Upon arrival at the Cusco airport our transfer will be waiting for you with the Samextoursperu sign and your name and will take you to your hotel located in the center of the city 3 blocks from the main square where you will be received with a mate of coca good for acclimatization of the height, since Cusco is at 3400 meters above sea level, in the afternoon we will make the tour of the 4 archaeological centers, after finishing the tour we will leave you at the Plaza de Armas so you can learn more about the Imperial city from Cuzco.
City Tour and the 4 archaeological centers
Between 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. We will start the pick-up from the hotels, to begin with the visit to the city and nearby ruins: the tour will show us the impressive colonial city built on Inca foundations; We will visit Koricancha, or the most important Temple of the Sun of the Incas.
We continue with the visit to the four ruins near Cusco: Sacsayhuaman (great fortress located 5 km from the city), Qenko (sacred amphitheater, worship center for the Mummy of the ninth Emperor), then we will go to PUCAPUCARA (“red fortress” due to the hue that its rocks acquire with the light of twilight) but in reality it was a checkpoint for passers-by and pilgrims who came from the Amazon jungle to the sacred city of Qosqo to worship and finally we will visit Tambomachay (temple to worship water.) Return to the hotel.

Day 2: Sacred Valley – Chinchero – Moray – Salineras –
Ollantaytambo – Pisac – Cusco
6:30 am Hrs, we pick you up from your hotel and then head towards the town of Chinchero. It is located at (3772m / 12375ft) which has the remains of what was the royal hacienda of Tupac Inca Yupanqui the tenth Emperor of the Inkas, after the visit to this important site we will go to the town of Maras where the archaeological center is located from Moray, Located on a high plateau at about (3500m / 11500ft) These are the most impressive agricultural circles found in a large depression with many terraces. It is believed that this archaeological site (in theory) was used by the Incas as a center for agricultural experiments on different altitude levels.
Fifteen minutes from this important site is the Minas de Sal. The small salt flats are built on steep terraces along one side of a narrow valley that are fed by the salty waters that emerge from an underground mountain stream. There are about 4000 wells that are left to evaporate and processed by hand without machinery considered the best salt in the world, after this important site we will go to Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch.
Then we will go to Ollantaytambo. Surrounded by the sacred mountains, where we will again discover the magnificence of the Inca constructions and the beauty of the local people with their traditional clothing.
Day 3: Machu Picchu Full Day Tour – Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
The tour begins with the pick up from your hotel approx. 3:00 a.m., to take you to the Ollantaytambo station, the trip takes approximately one hour and a half to two hours until you reach the train station, once there you can board the EXPEDITION TURISTICO train at 05:05 a.m. that will take you to Machu Picchu Pueblo, This train will be arriving at Machu Picchu Pueblo at 7:10 am and at the exit of the train station, your guide will be waiting for you so that you can go to the bus station and go up to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
Once in Machu Picchu, you will have a 2-hour guide to
know and tour the most outstanding places of Machu Picchu, after that you can tour the citadel on your own until departure time which is at noon. After this you can go down by bus to Machu Picchu town where you will have all the time available to do some other activities, such as visiting the streets of the city, visiting the thermal baths and relaxing, also the Manuel Chávez Ballón Museum, any of these visits You can do it on your own and assume the entry cost that this implies.
A very important note to take into consideration is that you must be at the train station half an hour before departure, this train will bring you to the Ollantaytambo station where you will board the transport that will bring you to the city of Cusco.
Day 4: Mountain of Colors Tour (Vinicunca) Full Day Cusco
The Vinicunca Mountain of Colors allows us to discover one of the
major natural destinations most popular today. Its location in front of the highest snow-capped peak in Cusco and on top of a mountain make it an experience worth doing at least once in a lifetime. During the tour we can have fantastic views of the snow-capped mountains that surround this place and of the beautiful flora.
The tour to the mountain of 7 colors begins at 04:30 am, where we will pick you up from your respective hotels, if your lodging is in a remote area we will coordinate a meeting point, and then start the trip to the south of the city towards the town of Cusipata, where the restaurant is located where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, after breakfast we continue the trip towards Fulawasi, the point where the transport arrives and we will start the trekking towards the hill of 7 colors, our guide will take care of present the income in the control.
Before starting the guide will give us a brief introduction to the place and recommendations on the walk starting the trek about 3 minutes away is the point where you can rent horses to do the route this has a cost of S / 90 soles or USD 30 American dollars this of course it is optional, from this point we have 1h 40 min to reach the mountain of 7 colors, during the journey we will have the opportunity to see the beautiful landscape.
10 minutes before reaching the mountain of colors there is a detour, to be able to visit from the viewpoint of the Red Valley, this has an additional cost of S / 20 soles which is not included in our rate, this tour is optional, In this place you will have a few minutes to take souvenir photos and go to the mountain of colors and enjoy this beautiful and magical landscape.
Once the souvenir photos have been taken, we will descend to the starting point of the trekking, at the indicated time we will begin to descend to the point where mobility left us and later we will be returning to Cusipata where we will taste a delicious buffet lunch and then we will be returning to the city of Cusco arriving approximately at 4 to 5:00 in the afternoon.
Day 5: Transfer to the airport for your flight in Lima

Wonder Cusco Tour 5 Days Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you can do Machu Picchu in one full day tour from Cusco. The tour typically leaves early in the morning at around 0330 AM with a drive to Ollantaytambo train station.
You will be taking a three hours train ride to Aguas Calientes town and an onward transfer to the citadel by bus.
The tour ends with a transfer back to your hotel in the city of Cusco at around 09:00 PM.
Yes Machu Picchu is open to visitors seven days a week. The best time of the day to visit is early in the morning during sunrise. It often gets heavily crowded between 11 am and 0300 PM.
On an average around 2500 people visit Machu Picchu in a day. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities are restricting to a limited number of visitors a day to maintain the safety protocols.
It is recommended that you carry a day pack with basic essentials like sunscreen, a water bottle, some snacks, hat and sunglasses. Do not forget to cary your original passport. This is a must to obtain entry to the citadel.
