We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you through the Sacred Valley of Incas to Ollantaytambo train station.
Here you will be boarding the train to Aguas Calientes town. This is the base to visit Machu Picchu citadel.
At Aguas Calientes, we will be accommodating you in a hotel. The town is popular for hot springs, after which it is named. You can spend the evening taking a dip in the natural thermal spring waters.
DAY 2. MACHU PICCHU GUIDED TOUR – CUSCO (B)
Early in the morning, the crew will be handing you over a snack box. You will then be boarding a bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel. It is a 25 minutes drive.
Our tour guide will be assisting you in clearing the security control. As we will enter the citadel, you will witness the clouds clearing by as the Crepuscular rays beaming on the Incan walls.
We will then give you a detailed two hours tour of the citadel. After the tour to Machu Picchu, you will have some free time to explore the citadel on your own.
We will then direct you to the trailhead of Huayna Picchu Mountain. Climbing Huayna Picchu mountain is an experience on its own. Although, it requires a permit which tends to sell out months in advance.
You can also hike to the Sungate. It offers a spectacular view of the citadel. This is the point of entrance for those on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.
Return to Cusco:
After the tour, you will be taking the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. You will have some free time for lunch (not included in the tour package).
Late that evening, you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will be meeting you on arrival and will be transferring you back to your hotel in Cusco. We will be arriving in Cusco by 0900 PM.

To reach the summit of Huayna Picchu mountain, you will be hiking 183 metres of rocks steps which in total are 1600 steps.
You need to have a valid permit to hike Huayna Picchu mountain. You need to book this in advance as it tends to sell soon. So it is recommended to book it whilst booking your Machu Picchu tour.
After the guided tour of the citadel, the local guide will be directing you to the trail head which is within the citadel itself.
