Chinchero:
This is a small village closer to the city of Cusco. Among all sites in the Sacred Valley, Chinchero has the most fertile soil. The white washed church that stands today was once a Royal Palace of Pachacutec. On conquering Chinchero, Spanish invaders demolished it and built the church on its remains.
Chinchero is also home to Andean textile weavers. Our professional guide will be introducing you to the traditional method of knitting.
Ollantaytambo:
This charismatic town is a perfect living example of Incas town planning. Ollantaytambo snuggles between two hills. Each of these hills houses an archeological complex.
The fortress here was the most sacred site to Incas. When the Spanish invaded Ollantaytambo in 1537 this sacred site was transformed into a deadly battle ground.
Today, this is the point where you will be boarding the train to Machu Picchu and Inca Trail.
Pisac:
Pisac is a notable site. The complex here is massive and is just second to Machu Picchu. Pisac is also popular for the weekend market. Local farmers and craftsmen from the neighbouring villages gather here to sell their produce.

Day 1: Sacred Valley Tour
We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco early in the morning. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you for an hour to Pisac. We will be visiting the archaeological complex. Here our local guide will be giving you a derailed tour.
We will then continue the tour to the village. Here you can visit the traditional market.
We will then drive to Urubamba. Here we will be stopping for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, we will be driving to Ollantaytambo. We will be visiting the ruins here. Our guide will be explaining the prominence of the complex sharing some insider’s information.
We will then be returning to Cusco. On our way back, we will be stopping at Chinchero. We will begin the tour by visiting the complex. It is home to farming terraces and aqueducts built by Incas which are functioning even now.
We will then introduce you to the Andean textile industry. Locals will demonstrate their skill.
Once you have had your fill of the culture, history and nature of the Sacred Valley of Incas, we will be driving you back to Cusco.
