Itinerary

Day 1CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES

We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you through the Sacred Valley of Incas to Ollantaytambo train station.

Here you will be boarding the train to Aguas Calientes town. This is the base to visit Machu Picchu citadel.

At Aguas Calientes, we will be accommodating you in a hotel. The town is popular for hot springs, after which it is named. You can spend the evening taking a dip in the natural thermal spring waters.

Day 2MACHU PICCHU GUIDED TOUR – CUSCO (B)

Early in the morning, the crew will be handing you over a snack box. You will then be boarding a bus up to the Machu Picchu citadel. It is a 25 minutes drive.

Our tour guide will be assisting you in clearing the security control. As we will enter the citadel, you will witness the clouds clearing by as the Crepuscular rays beaming on the Incan walls.

We will then give you a detailed two hours tour of the citadel. After the tour to Machu Picchu, you will have some free time to explore the citadel on your own.

We will then direct you to the trailhead of Huayna Picchu Mountain. Climbing Huayna Picchu mountain is an experience on its own. Although, it requires a permit which tends to sell out months in advance.

You can also hike to the Sungate. It offers a spectacular view of the citadel. This is the point of entrance for those on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

Return To Cusco

After the tour, you will be taking the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. You will have some free time for lunch (not included in the tour package).

Late that evening, you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will be meeting you on arrival and will be transferring you back to your hotel in Cusco. We will be arriving in Cusco by 09:00 PM.

Solo Traveller

I recently embarked on the Machu Picchu Huayna Picchu Tour, and it was an adventure of a lifetime. From the moment I was picked up from my hotel in Cusco, I knew I was in for a remarkable journey.

After the tour, I had the chance to explore Machu Picchu at my own pace before embarking on the hike to Huayna Picchu. The climb was challenging but incredibly rewarding, offering breathtaking views of the citadel below. Standing atop Huayna Picchu, I felt a profound sense of accomplishment and awe at the beauty that surrounded me.
