We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you along the South Valley of Cusco to Cusipata village. Here we will be stopping for 30 minutes to have breakfast.
After breakfast, we will drive for an hour to the starting point of the trek. Here we will be paying the entrance fee to the local community. Our local expert will share some information and will brief you on the safety procedure.
We will then begin with a two and a half hour trek. The trek will offer you entracing view of the mighty Ausangate peak. You will also get to see Andean camelids – Alpacas and Llamas.
We will be hiking through many Andean farms and some remote communities who are untouched by modernity.
Once at the summit of the Rainbow Mountain, our local expert will be sharing some insight of the mountain. If time prevails, you can even hike to the red valley.
Once you have had your fill of this enchanting sight, we will start hiking back down to the trail head. Here we will be meeting our driver who will drive us to the Cusipata.
At Cusipata, we will be stopping for lunch. After lunch, we will be driving back to Cusco. We will be reaching Cusco at around 0630 PM.
