The Waqrapukara Full Day Tour takes you to one of Peru’s hidden gems, a magnificent archaeological site perched atop a dramatic mountain in the Andes. The tour begins with hotel pick-up between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. Once the entire group is complete, we will begin the tour. We will travel for 3 hours in tourist transport to the town of Santa Lucía. During the tour, we will stop in Cusipata for breakfast and then continue the trip. In Santa Lucía, we will take a detour and travel for 15 more minutes along a zigzagging road until we reach Punta Carretera. Here we will get ready for about 10 minutes to make the last preparations before starting our walk to Waqrapukara. Once everyone is ready we will begin to walk, the walk is uphill and lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, the distance to travel is approximately 2.5 kilometers, when we reach Waqrapukara the guide will explain the importance of this Archaeological Complex, then we will have free time to explore the place on our own and take photos, once the visit is over we will enjoy a delicious box lunch, then we will return along the same path to Punta Carretera, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. Arriving in Cusco at 6:00 p.m.

The Waqrapukara Acomayo Cusco Full Day Tour was an extraordinary journey into the heart of ancient Inca culture and breathtaking natural beauty. Beginning with an early 4:00 AM pick-up from my hotel in Cusco, the day commenced with a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley to Cusipata village, where a delicious breakfast awaited.
After fueling up, our adventure continued with a visit to the picturesque Pomacanchi lagoon, setting the stage for the awe-inspiring Waqrapukara hike. As we ascended from Huayqui, our knowledgeable guide provided insights into the region’s history and pointed out well-preserved cave paintings along the way.
